ARIR Event about dysphagia

On December 15 took place the ARIR 2018 Event about dysphagia.

The event was organized by ARIR and FLI (Italian Speech Therapists Federation of Lombardy Region) and Medical Products Research participated as an official sponsor.
This course was held in Milan at the IRCCS Foundation Ca ‘Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Aula Magna Clinica del Lavoro (Devotee Pavilion).
The event was an opportunity for discussion, information and training on the issue of dysphagia.
Swallowing disorders are widespread and intended to increase with the prolongation of life and the evolution of recovery techniques. Dysphagia management is complex both in the diagnostic and therapeutic phases and requires the combined intervention of experienced health professionals, including the speech therapist and the respiratory physiotherapist.
The day aims to provide a general overview on the problems related to dysphagia: from deficits in airway protection, to the most recent methods of assistance, support, rehabilitation and prevention of respiratory complications.
