The new TPEP® 4 device is the result of the research and experience of MPR in the treatment of patients with chronic mucus hypersecretion, a consequence of some diseases of the respiratory system with a negative impact both on lung function and on patient survival.
TPEP® 4 was designed with the idea of integrating in a single device different instruments widely used in the field of respiratory physiotherapy and, in particular, of airways clearance.
In addition to the patented TPEP® technology, a technique now validated in the field of respiratory rehabilitation and recently introduced in European guidelines for the treatment of bronchiectasis, the device integrates the possibility of performing PEP exercises and working with inspiratory resistance. Finally, it allows the treatment of the lower and upper airways by means of nebuliser therapy and nasal washing.
The multifunctionality of the device guarantees a personalised treatment based on the patient’s real needs. Another peculiarity is its ease of use, through a single control knob and a colour display that transmits visual feedback, useful to guide the patient to a correct execution of rehabilitation exercises. TPEP® 4 allows healthcare personnel to set goals to be achieved during therapy, which can be customised based on the type of patient and his state of health. Moreover, the device permits the recording of the performed therapies and the elaboration of final reports.
